    CAF Disaster Response Appeal

The 'CAF Disaster Response Discretionary Fund' enables urgent assistance to people and communities affected by disaster - through funds donated in times of calm and held in Trust until disaster strikes; or when an emergency occurs and support is needed urgently...

Through the Indonesia Earthquake & Tsunami , Burma Cyclone, China Earthquake; and more recently in 2009 the Victoria Bushfires and North Queensland Floods the CAF Disaster Fund has supported people in need.

Every year around the world, more than 20 million people are left with little more than their lives as a result of natural disasters. Your financial support will provide emergency relief through food, shelter and water as well as longer term support and counselling to help people rebuild their lives.

Support CAF Australia's ongoing disaster response work, and help those people and communities in need. Donate by credit card now.

Pakistan Floods Appeal Notice August 2010:

Funds currently donated through the Disaster Response Fund will be directed towards the Pakistan Floods Appeal.

Devastating floods have hit northern Pakistan, affecting an estimated 3 million people. Between 800 and 1500 people as estimated to have died and a further 27,000 are still trapped. Aid agencies say entire villages have been washed away, along with 25 bridges, which is impeding access to the affected areas. Help is now needed to try to stop the spreading of water-borne diseases, a high risk until the floods fully recede.

Note: All donations over $2 will be receipted via e-mail  for tax deductible purposes.

Discretion on grants made lies with the trustees of the CAF Community Fund. This is a requirement of current tax legislation.
