CAF Australia and its related organisations (CAF Australia, CAF Community Fund Ltd, CAF Community Fund Trust & Investors in Community Pty Ltd) are bound by the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and subsequent amendments. This document sets out our policies relating to the collection, storage and disposal of your personal information. The information that we collect
We only collect information that is necessary to conduct our business. This applies across all programs and services that we run.
In order to administer these programs efficiently we need to collect information such as: your name, mailing address, telephone number, employer information & donation details.
For Investors in Community we might also collect information about your employment, date of birth, and other details normally required by banking institutions. We respect your privacy
CAF and its related organisations collects information concerning you, by either asking you to complete a form, or it may come from your preferred not-for-profit, or in a limited number of cases, directly from your employer. You may choose not to provide all of this information, in which case we may not be able to issue you with a tax receipt or provide you with the other services you, your employer or your preferred not-for-profit organisation may require. Disclosing your personal information
We will not provide your personal information to any other individuals or organisations except, where you have requested that the information will be passed on to preferred not-for-profit organisation´s, or where the information is required by our professional advisors, government and other regulatory authorities.
Selected information will also be transmitted to CAF in the UK for data processing management. An agreement has been signed between CAF UK and CAF Australia to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Commonwealth Privacy Act.
Information taken, for deposits and loans facilitated by Investors In Community Pty Ltd (A subsidiary of CAF Australia) in alliance with Bendigo Bank, will also be subject to the privacy policy of Bendigo Bank. CAF Australia takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the information collected is accurate and up to date. Privacy is a sensitive issue and to ensure accuracy it is important to keep your details up to date. Please contact us if your details change.
You can also contact us with any questions you might have with regards to the privacy policy (CAF reserves the right to charge a small fee for this service).
We keep all information under strict control in a secure place and only accessible to trained staff who have committed to a confidentiality agreement. Information will be retained for a period of seven years and then destroyed under strict supervision. To contact us
